VIEW ITINERARY

Day 1: We begin our wonderful adventure to Glacier National Park and the beautiful Canadian Rockies with an included coffee & roll break. Our travels take us into North Dakota for a lunch break on your own and an afternoon break en-route to our overnight in Bismarck. This evening we will enjoy an included Welcome Dinner. (CS) (D)

Day 2: An included breakfast starts our day and then we’re off continuing west stopping for a morning break prior to entering Montana. After a lunch break, on own, and also an afternoon break, we’ll arrive in Livingston for our overnight. Your evening will be free to relax and have dinner on own. (B)

Day 3: Following included breakfast, we head west thru Big Sky Country of Montana stopping for a morning break. We turn north and drive scenic US287, a designated portion of the Lewis and Clark Trail along the shore of Canyon Ferry Lake and into Helena, MT for your lunch break, on own. This afternoon, we’ll experience a real highlight, the “Gates of the Mountain” named by Meriwether Lewis as they traveled through here and first saw the Rockies. We will board a boat for a narrated cruise on the Missouri River. Here the cliffs rise 1200 feet above the river on both sides forming a canyon of natural beauty. Later, we continue north to Great Falls and check into our hotel for the night, dinner on own. (B)

Day 4: After gathering for included breakfast, we journey north to St. Mary. You will have time to enjoy lunch, on own, before boarding a special mini-coach with large viewing windows for a spectacular narrated “Road to the Sun” tour in Glacier National Park. You will hear all about the Black Feet Indian Nation and about the Park. We will make a photo stop during our tour en-route to the western entrance of Glacier. Here we transfer back to our coach and head to Whitefish, MT for our overnight. Your evening will be free to enjoy dinner on own. (B)

Day 5: Another included breakfast starts our day then we head the coach north to the Canadian border to clear customs into Canada. You are required to carry a Passport or a Pass Card to clear customs. Following a lunch break, we drive north through British Columbia traveling thru Kootenay National Park to arrive the beautiful mountain community of Banff, Alberta. Prior to checking into our Inn for two nights, we will do a short tour of this charming town including Bow Falls. You will enjoy getting acquainted with restaurants and shops with dinner on own. (B)

Day 6: After included breakfast, we’re off for a full day of touring. The spectacular Chateau Lake Louise and the Victoria Glacier is on our schedule for an included lunch overlooking the Lake which is called the “Jewel of the Rockies”. You will have time to browse the Chateau, shop or perhaps take a stroll along the shore and grounds. We will visit Yoho National Park later to include Emerald Lake. Returning to our hotel, you will have time to check out restaurants and a multitude of shops. (B) (L)

Day 7: Enjoy included breakfast as our luggage is loaded onto the coach. We are heading north to Jasper up the spectacular “Icefields Parkway” today. The Parkway is often referred to as “the most scenic highway in the world”. Mountains, sparkling rivers, lakes and glaciers flank our route today. We will make photo stops at Bow Lake and we need to keep watch as wild life is often seen along this route. We will have time for lunch, on own, at the Icefields Visitor Center before an amazing experience of boarding a giant Sno Coach for our ride out onto the Columbia Glacier. You’ll want your jacket as we have the opportunity to step out onto the glacier for pictures. We will stop at Athabasca Falls prior to arriving in Jasper, Alberta. A stop in town of Jasper will be taken to browse the shops prior to checking into our hotel for the night. Your evening will be free to enjoy dinner on your own. (B)

Day 8: Breakfast is again included and we will start east heading to Edmonton, Alberta. Upon arrival we head to the world’s largest mall, the West Edmonton for lunch, on own, and a little time to check out this huge mall. Early this afternoon we arrive in Calgary, site of the 1988 Winter Olympics and will do a short driving tour. Our hotel is full service with dinner, on own. (B)

Day 9: This morning, following included breakfast, we head east stopping for a morning break prior to entering Saskatchewan, the “Bread Basket of Canada” stopping in Swift Current for a lunch break, on own. Continuing on, we arrive this afternoon in Regina, SK and visit the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Heritage Centre to learn the history and traditions of the RCMP. We check into our hotel for the night with your evening free to dine, on own. (B)

Day 10: Breakfast is included and we depart east heading for Manitoba. After appropriate breaks, on own, we’ll arrive in beautiful Winnipeg, get checked into our hotel and prepare to gather for our included Farewell Dinner. (B) (D)

Day 11: We enjoy included breakfast together on this last morning of our Canadian Rockies adventure and then head south to the border at Emerson. Again, make sure you have your Passport or Passcard in hand for Customs to enter the United States. A lunch stop will be taken, on own, and our arrival back in the Twin Cities should be late afternoon. (B) You will have countless pictures and amazing memories of Glacier National Park and the awesome Canadian Rockies! Come and travel with us to a most beautiful place on our North American continent.
