VIEW ITINERARY

Day 1: We’ll begin our wonderful adventure to the beautiful Canadian Rockies with an included coffee and roll break. Our travels will take us into North Dakota for a lunch break on your own and an afternoon break en-route to our overnight in Bismarck. This evening we’ll enjoy an included Welcome Dinner. (CS, D)

Day 2: An included breakfast starts our day, then we’ll head west stopping for a morning break prior to entering Montana. We’ll stop for a lunch break on your own and an afternoon break and then arrive in Livingston for our overnight. The evening will be free to relax and have dinner on your own. (B)

Day 3: Following our included breakfast we’ll head west through the Big Sky Country of Montana stopping for a morning break. We’ll then turn north and drive scenic US 287, a designated portion of the Lewis and Clark Trail along the shore of beautiful Canyon Ferry Lake and into Helena, MT for a lunch break on your own. This afternoon we’ll experience a real highlight, the “Gates of the Mountain”, named by Meriwether Lewis as they traveled through here. We’ll board the boat for our narrated cruise on the Missouri River. Here the cliffs rise 1200 feet above the river on both sides forming a canyon of natural wonders. Later we’ll continue north to Great Falls and check into our hotel for the night and after time to refresh you’ll be free to have dinner on your own. (B)

Day 4: Following included breakfast, we’ll continue north to St. Mary. You’ll have time for lunch on your own and then we’ll board our special Mini-coach with large viewing windows for a spectacular narrated “Road to the Sun” tour. You’ll hear all about the Black Feet Indian Nation and the Park. We’ll make several stops including rest stops or photo stops at Logan Pass, Bird Woman Falls, Big Bend and Valley Overlook en-route to Lake Mc Donald Lodge and then on to the western entrance to Glacier National Park. Here you’ll transfer back to our motor coach and we’ll head to Whitefish, MT for our overnight. The evening will be free to relax and enjoy dinner on your own. (B)

Day 5: An included breakfast starts our day, then we’ll head north to the Canadian Border and clear customs into Canada and then continue on to Cranbrook for a lunch stop on your own. Following lunch, we’ll continue north through the beautiful Province of British Columbia stopping for several photo opportunities as we travel through Radium Hot Springs and Kootenay National Park to the beautiful mountain community of Banff, Alberta. Prior to checking into our hotel for the next 2 nights, we’ll do a tour of Banff National Park including Bow Falls. Later we’ll check into our hotel with the evening free to relax and have dinner on your own. (B)

Day 6: Following an included breakfast, we’re off for a full-day tour. Our first stop will be the spectacular Chateau Lake Louise for an included lunch overlooking beautiful Lake Louise, called the “Jewel of the Rockies”. After lunch, you’ll have time to browse the hotel and take a walk along the shores of the lake and the grounds of the hotel. Later we’ll visit Yoho National Park and spectacular Takkakaw Falls and Emerald Lake. We’ll then return to our hotel for time to explore the city and enjoy dinner on your own. (B, L)

Day 7: After an included breakfast, we’ll head north to Jasper, Alberta along the spectacular Icefields Parkway, often referred to as “the most scenic highway in the world”. Spectacular mountains, sparkling rivers, waterfalls, placid lakes and glaciers flank our route today. We’ll make photo stops at Bow Lake and Peyto Lake and keep watch, as wild life is often seen along this route. Next, we’ll have time for lunch on your own followed by a real highlight as we board the SnoCoach for our ride onto the Columbia Glacier. Remember your jacket, as you’ll have the opportunity to step out onto the glacier for photos and perhaps a drink of glacier water. We’ll then stop at Athabasca Falls prior to arriving in Jasper, Alberta. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to browse the shops in the downtown area prior to checking into our hotel for the night. The evening will be free to enjoy dinner on your own. (B)

Day 8: An included breakfast starts our day and then we’ll head east to Edmonton, AB. Upon arrival, we’ll stop for lunch on your own and to browse the world’s largest mall, the West Edmonton Mall. Early this afternoon we’ll head south to Calgary, site of the 1988 Winter Olympics. Upon arrival, we’ll do a short driving tour of the city seeing the 525-foot tall Calgary Tower. Later we’ll check into our hotel for the night and after time to refresh you will be free to have dinner on your own. (B)

Day 9: This morning following included breakfast we’ll head east stopping for a morning break prior to entering Saskatchewan, the “Bread Basket of Canada” stopping in Swift Current for a lunch break on your own. This afternoon we’ll arrive in Regina, SK. And upon arrival , e’ll visit the new Royal Canadian Mounted Police Heritage Centre to learn the history and tradition of the RCMP. We’ll then check into our hotel for the night with the evening free to relax and have dinner on your own. (B)

Day 10: Following an included breakfast we’ll head south stopping for a morning break prior to clearing customs back into the United States. We’ll stop in Minot, ND for a lunch break on your own and then continue east stopping for an afternoon break en-route to Grand Forks for our overnight. This evening we’ll enjoy an included Farewell Dinner. (B, D)

Day 11: Following an included breakfast we’ll continue east across North Dakota taking a morning break and lunch stop on your own. This afternoon we’ll arrive back in Minnesota and stop for a break. We’ll arrive back in the Twin Cities late this afternoon filled with wonderful memories of Glacier National Park and the awesome Canadian Rockies. (B)
