We’ll then head west stopping for a lunch break on your own prior to arriving in Flandreau, South Dakota and the Royal River Casino/Hotel for our overnight. Each passenger will receive $25 on their player’s card and a coupon for an evening dinner buffet and breakfast buffet. You will arrive in time to enjoy a break and try your luck in the casino. At 4:00 pm we will all meet in the hotel lobby to get our room keys (Royal River allows no check-ins until 4:00 pm). You will have time to unpack and refresh. The remainder of the evening will be free to enjoy the casino.

Day 2 – We’ll travel west to Mitchell and upon arrival we’ll visit the world-famous Corn Palace. You’ll see the many colorful murals made from corn and other grains. This morning we’ll be stopping for a morning break in Chamberlain. Following our break set your watches back 1 hour, as we’ll be on Mountain Daylight Savings Time. We’ll then drive the Badlands Loop Road through the Badlands National Park making a photo stop en-route to a lunch stop on your own at the world-famous Wall Drug. You’ll have time to have lunch and browse the many different parts of the store. Then it’s on to the Black Hills and Deadwood, once a great gold mining area and historic Old West town. Now the town has many casinos and our hotel for the next three nights is the Cadillac Jacks located on the historic main street in Deadwood. You will receive $10 in Cadillac Cash, free play per person, per day. The remainder of the day and evening will be free to have dinner on your own and take in all the gaming action in the casino and downtown area.

Day 3 – We’ll head to Hill City for our narrated (1880 Train) ride through the beautiful Black Hills.  This train was used in the TV series, Gunsmoke.  Our ride ends in Keystone were our coach will be waiting.  We’ll then board our coach and visit Mount Rushmore and enjoy lunch on our own.  Our next adventure will be the Crazy Horse Memorial.  The nine-story high face of Crazy Horse is completed.  Upon completion the figure of Crazy Horse astride his horse will be 563’ high and 641’ long.  Later we’ll return to Deadwood with the evening free.

Day 4 – We’ll board our mini bus for a guided tour of historic Deadwood. We’ll hear all about the history of Deadwood, Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane and visit Boot Hill Cemetery. The tour will end at “Tatanka: Story of the Bison” for a guided tour discovering the compelling saga of the bison’s story and the Lakota history. You’ll visit a traditional Lakota encampment and take in the wonderful statues of 3 bronze Lakota riders on horseback heading 14-heroic-sized bronze bison. We will return to Deadwood for lunch on our own.  At 2:00 pm we will head through the beautiful Black Hills to Custer State Park for our Buffalo Jeep Safari to view bison in their natural surroundings.  Next we will enjoy a chuck wagon cook-out.  Later we’ll return to Deadwood to relax and enjoy the evening and maybe do some gaming.

Day 5 – As we say farewell to the Black Hills, we’ll stop at Wall Drug for our morning break. As we depart set your watches ahead 1 hour as we’ll return to Central Time. The lunch stop on your own will be at Al’s Oasis in Chamberlain. This afternoon we’ll arrive at Grand Casino Hotel in Larchwood, IA for our overnight. Each passenger will receive $10.00 in free play on their player’s card, coupons for the Surf & Turf dinner buffet this evening and breakfast tomorrow morning. The remainder of the evening will be free to enjoy the hotel and casino.
