ITINERARY

Day 1: As we begin our wonderful motorcoach tour to New England we’ll stop to enjoy an included coffee roll break. Our travels today will take us across Wisconsin and through the Chicago area to our overnight stay in South Bend, Indiana. This evening we’ll enjoy an included Welcome Dinner. (CS, D)

Day 2: An included breakfast starts our day. We’ll head east and north along the shores of Lake Erie . We’ll take a morning break, a lunch stop on your own and an afternoon break as we travel through Ohio and part of Pennsylvania. Later this afternoon we’ll arrive in Niagara Falls, New York, and check into our hotel located
by restaurants and shops and across the Park from the American side of Niagara Falls. Your evening will be
free to enjoy our neighborhood for this evening and have dinner on own. (B)

Day 3: Following included breakfast, we’ll enjoy an exciting and misty boat ride on the “Maid of the Mist”
in front of the American Falls and into the basin of Horseshoe Falls, Canada. Following our cruise, you
will have time to check out the Mist’s gift shop for last-minute postcards and souvenirs. Later we’ll head across upstate New York stopping for a lunch break and afternoon break heading towards the Adirondack Mountains and our overnight in Watertown, New York. (B)

Day 4: Another included breakfast starts our day and then we’ll head to Lake Placid traveling the gorgeous 6 million acre Adirondack Park. The highest peaks of the Adirondacks are located en-route. Lake Placid is a lovely Village which lies on the shores of 2 lakes, Mirror Lake and Lake Placid. Lake Placid was the site of two Winter Olympics, l932 and l980. Upon arrival we’ll have lunch, on own, and meet our local guide for a fun-filled tour of Lake Placid. We’ll check into our hotel where we will have serene views and time to stroll and enjoy the Village. (B)

Day 5: Our morning begins with a delicious included breakfast and then we’ll head to the New York-Vermont
border, boarding the ferry to cross Lake Champlain to Vermont. More wonderful fall foliage awaits us in the Green Mountain State! Our first stop will be to visit a Maple Syrup Farm for a short visit then on to the biggest city, Burlington. Your lunch, on own, will be taken on a charming street with side-walk cafes. On to
Waterbury we go for a visit to Cold Hollow Cider Mill. Millions of apples are processed here…a fun stop. A short drive to Woodstock, Vermont, depicts a very lovely New England town known for its Commons and well-preserved old homes and covered bridges. Our last stop will be a photo-op of Quechee Gorge, “Vermont’s Little Grand Canyon”. We will check into our Inn in Quechee with the evening free to have dinner on own. (B)

Day 6: After included breakfast, we’ll head north into colorful New Hampshire and the town of Bath. Here we’ll visit the oldest continuously- operated General Store in America. We’ll then approach and drive the most awesome “Kancamagus Trail Highway”, once an old Indian trail, across the White Mountains. A visit to the “Castle in the Clouds” will take us up into the Ossipee Mountains. The Castle’s interior beauty is surpassed
only by the magnificent view of famous Lake Winnipesaukee (site of the movie “On Golden Pond”). We’ll
continue across New Hampshire destined for Old Orchard Beach, a resort right on the Atlantic Ocean in Maine. A most memorable Maine chowder and lobster dinner party is included at a beach restaurant. (B, D)

Day 7: Gazing at the ocean, we enjoy an included breakfast together while our luggage is being loaded onto
the coach. We’ll then head south along the scenic Atlantic coastline to Kennebunkport and drive past the home of former President George H. W. Bush. We head now towards the Boston area, with a lunch break, on own. Arriving in Lexington, we meet our guide for a fabulous tour standing where the “Shot Heard Around the World” occurred starting our American Revolutionary War. We journey the short distance to Concord as well where first British lost lives. We later will check into our hotel for a 2-night stay. You can relax and enjoy dinner on your own. (B)

Day 8: Following an enjoyable included breakfast, we’ll depart for a full-day guided tour of historic Boston and the “Freedom Trail”. We’ll see places critical to the history of the American Revolution, the site of the “Boston Massacre”, the harbor where the Boston Tea Party took place, the Old North Church and the Old State House. We’ll stop for a lunch break on your own and in the afternoon we’ll visit Cambridge and Harvard University. Later we’ll return to the hotel with your evening free to relax and have dinner, on own. Day 9: An included breakfast again starts our day, then we’ll head south and pick up our step-on guide stopping in Plymouth where the Pilgrims landed. Then it’s on to Cape Cod and the historic town of Sandwich, the oldest village on the Cape. We’ll stop for lunch on your own and then continue on to Hyannis for a narrated Hyannis Harbor Cruise, seeing and hearing about the local landmarks and beaches as we cruise past the historic Kennedy Compound. Later we’ll enjoy a tour of Hyannis viewing the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean Memorial and St. Francis Xavier Church, the summer parish of the Kennedy family. Later we’ll head east to the world-renowned seaport of Newport, Rhode Island, for our overnight. After checking in, your evening will be free to relax and have dinner on your own. We have a very nice restaurant in-house. (B)

Day 10: After included breakfast we’ll drive the acclaimed “Ten Mile Drive” winding through the many
mansions & “Cottages” from the Gilded Age. A tour of the famous “Marble House” is included. We’ll then head along the coastline to the early seaport of Mystic, Connecticut. It is “ON TO NEW YORK!” to check into our hotel for the next 2 nights in New Jersey. We will gather together for an included dinner at the hotel. (B, D)

Day 11: An included breakfast will be enjoyed by all and then off we go to Manhattan for a 3-hour guided tour. Highlights of our tour include a visit to the 911 Memorial, many famous landmarks and parks. We travel to Battery Park to board the ferry to visit the 2 great harbor islands, the Statue of Liberty Island and Ellis Island Immigration Monument where millions of immigrants entered the United States. After returning to Manhattan, we head to Times Square where you can shop and have dinner on own. We will take our reserved seats for a wonderfully entertaining Broadway Show. (Show to be announced)

Day 12: Following included breakfast, we’ll board our coach and head to the Airport for our flight back to Minneapolis. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted at the Airport and transferred back to your pickup locations. Wonderful memories of the history and beautiful fall colors of New England and Cape Cod will be long remembered. We’ll have many new friends and many photos to enjoy for a long time. (B)
